A hideaway surrounded by the southern country's magnificent views on Kikaijima

Kikaijima is a small remote island located south of Amami Oshima. Nakanishi Park, located there, is known as one of the representative scenic spots of Kikaijima. The well-maintained park is equipped with facilities such as a lawn plaza, swings, and rest areas. However, the greatest charm of Nakanishi Park lies in the magnificent views that can be seen from there.

Enjoy the great panorama of the southern country

Walking to the edge of Nakanishi Park, the southern coast of Kikaijima spreads out in front of you all at once. The magnificent panorama, unique to the southern country, allows you to overlook the blue sea below and the uninhabited island far in the distance. The ever-changing views of the sea and sky promise a luxurious and once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Easily accessible scenic spot

Nakanishi Park is located at the end of the road, just south of the Self-Defense Force's communication base. It is also easily accessible from the central area, making it an attractive spot to casually drop by. There is no parking lot, but there are spaces available to park on the shoulder of the road. Although there are times when maintenance is not well done, if you push your way through the grass, you can make your way to the scenic spot.

Local cuisine and climate information

When visiting Nakanishi Park, it is recommended to try the local specialties of Kikaijima, such as Kenchin-jiru and Neville-jiru. Also, Kikaijima has a subtropical marine climate, so in the summer, it is hot and humid, requiring light clothing, a hat, and sun protection.

Nakanishi Park, standing in the remote southern country, is a luxurious place where you can fully enjoy the magnificent views of nature. If you visit Kikaijima, why not take a moment to stop by?

Visited on 23/10. The park was not well-maintained, as it was covered with waist-high pampas grass. A family was letting a large dog play with it in the grass, but when Shimona tried to push through the grass to get to the Atadenohana Observatory, he was apparently dragged home and sent home. Looking back, I think there was a risk from the mysterious ticks, etc., but if you are aiming for the Atade no Hana Observatory, it is essential to be equipped with a sickle. .

Nowadays, it is not well maintained and is in disrepair. In the past, the view was good and the view was as spectacular as that of Hyaku-no-dai. Nakanishi Park Nakanishi Park is located on a hill in the southern part of Kikaijima. It's located at the end of the road south of the Self-Defense Force communications station. Nakanishi Park is spacious, but it feels like there is tall grass instead of grass. There is only a rest area in Nakanishi Park, but there is nothing special in Nakanishi Park. There is no observation deck, but if you go to the edge of Nakanishi Park, you can get a panoramic view of the south coast of Kikaijima. This park is also easily accessible, so it may be a place where you can easily see the scenery from Kikaijima.

This is a park with nothing in it. The sea looks beautiful. Only the grass has been cut. However, the lonely feeling of a swing that no one uses. It's difficult for an island, isn't it? How and to what extent should the park be maintained? Almost no one comes. There was no water from the two taps.

There is an embankment that allows you to see the sea, but if you want a better view, Hyakunodai, which is a little further ahead, is better.

There is no parking lot to park your car, but you should be fine. The view was quite good.
