Atelier Nishinomiya, located in the center of Nishinomiya, is a gallery space that exudes the breath of art within a modern atmosphere. Since its opening in 1986, it has been a historic facility that has supported the creative activities of many artists for about 40 years. It continues to disseminate the charm of art through high-quality exhibitions to people from inside and outside the city.
There are two exhibition rooms in the building, each hosting different special exhibitions. Works of talented artists in various genres such as Western painting, Japanese painting, sculpture, photography, and crafts are displayed. As these special exhibitions are selected through screening, each piece is a highly artistic masterpiece.
In addition, painting classes and workshops are also held, and the ability for visitors to engage in actual creative activities, not just appreciation, is one of the reasons for its popularity. The opportunity to become familiar with art is undoubtedly one of its great charms.
Atelier Nishinomiya is within walking distance from JR Nishinomiya Station, and transportation is convenient. Admission is free, and the opening hours are relatively relaxed, from 10:00 to 17:00. It is recommended to also visit the nearby Nishinomiya Oki Memorial Art Museum and the Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens.
